Like I do all my scales, center section is 1/16 and then 1/32 to sheet the rest. I do a overlay with 3/4oz cloth and epoxy.

Well, been a little while since I did any work on it. Got the decks on and built cowl. Had to stop and wait for magnets to finish the cowl. Keep forgetting to order them. So all stop for a while. I just realized today that I forgot about winglets before decks. DOH. Cutting them off now. 20201017_122816.jpg

So I have been trying to find a lite strong tubine tube idea. Thought about rolling some tin or metal sheet. Maybe an aluminum can. All of which had issues that I did not like. Finally just went with lay it up in glass. Build exactly what I want. Was looking for a plug. Some of my 2" EMT conduit from work was the right dia. Debaited on a doing split mold flanges. Too much work. Just gonna split it after it cures.16034132307807691098597413352826.jpg

After a little bit of curing in the heat box, I decided to see if I could cut it with a knife. Still was soft enough. Now let it fully cure and pop it off tomorrow.

Sure wish that you would have asked me. I have spray wax that builds up on the surface. lay up your part and then run hot water over the part. The wax melts and your part slides off. I use it for making tail booms for gliders. I learned about it from a rocketry site. They were making long rocket tubes.
