What's the life expectancy?

That impossible to say, too many variables.

It is a wear item, but I have been running the same shaft in my personal boat for over a year and a half. It does break in a little/loosen at first, but seems to get to a point and then continues on in terms of wear.

it last longer than a K&B shaft for sure…..
