67 pipe questions

I've got a cmb 67 w/ picco pipe & cmb header and was wondering what pipe lenght I should start out with using 20% nitro ? Where is a good place to put the pressure tap on pipe? Do I break-in before I tune the pipe? thanks, Mike

Depends on what type of boat you have it in, but as a general rule of thumb you can start at about 12 1/4" and work it in after the motor has been broken in. Place the pressure tap at the largest dia of the pipe. I have several of the CMB 67 Evolution motors and one of the newer Cam 67 motor's and they all seem to be happy on 50% nitro.

Its going in a 1/8 scale bud and its a cam 67 gold head. Where exactly do you measure the 12 1/4" from? How many tanks do I need to breakin and whats a good needle setting to start with? thanks, Mike

MOST PEOPLE MEASURE THE MOTOR FROM THE CENTER OF THE GLOW PLUG TO THE BAND OR LIP IN THE CENTER OF THE PIPE... THE KEY IS TO MEASURE IT THE SAME ALL THE TIME...

AS FOR YOUR MOTOR I WOULD RUN AT LEAST 50% IF NOT 60% THE MOTORS NEED IT TO PERFORM....

AS FOR THE NEEDLE DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU LIVE HIGH ELEVATION?? LOW ELEVATION??

AND FOR BREAK IN I WOULD SAY ABOUT 3-4 TANKS AND YOU SHOULD BE GOOD...
