What is the Best 60 Hydro Pipe?
Joe, When I made the FAT belly pipe in 1994 we were running the Picco 67 EXR with the Picco 67 nitro pipe. Was a consistant 80 mph in race trim. I tried the FAT pipe back to back and there was absolutely no difference. Same speed. Same throttle response. With no gain the proto FAT pipe was tossed aside. Months later the FAT pipe was tried on the CMB 67 Evo. There was a several mph gain and better throttle response over any other pipe that was tried on the 67 Evo. in the same boat. Needless to say the pipe was sent over to Italy and put into production.Andy do you think each engine has its best pipe or does the Boat designs request the pipe. (load changes in different boats )
Alan I have about a 100 - 60 hydro pipes. Andy and i were talking about the difference in hydros and the load differences. Most of the time the difference in Hydros and mfger will determine what is best. Not So Much the Engine wants a Particular Pipe...I thought that Joe bought new CMB Silver big belly tuned pipe :huh: what wrong did you run with it?
Joe is a HORDER!!!!100-60 hydro pipes That would make one hell of a wind chime. ==={}
Interesting that maybe we need to start transplanting diverter cones onto other 60 pipes. To make something that does not exist.100-60 hydro pipes That would make one hell of a wind chime. ==={}
