Sounds ridiculous, but here it is:

The .46 engine only costs $75 too.

Understandably the engine probably sucks out of the box comparative to say a Nova or a CMB, but the question arises how in the heck can they provide an engine that cheap in today's market? Is that really how low the production costs are on our higher end engines, yet they're just marked up on the market 10x what it cost the company to make them? Just something interesting to ponder.

Would ne fun to try out...... as i asked in the past about them they are side exhaust modified plane engines, look at the low rpm numbers ..... still be fun to see what you could get one to do... I'll stick with the Go engines for now!!!!

In germany, poland and czech are some people driving in a starter/beginner class. Many using this ASP engine - runing ~good, but the driver have to use 80/20 (methanol/rizinus) fuel without nitro. It´s perfect engine for this class, it´s not a realy racing engine !!

Mitch,

We pay for quality is the bottom line on motors.

Look how cheap K&B's used to be?

The Italians still make some of the best motors IMO.

Have fun testing,

In New Zealand we run a class that is for engines that are maximum displacement of 10cc (.61cu in) all engines must be based on a front induction side exhaust of aircraft origin. The ASP .60 fits very well in this class and has proven very competitive and lots of fun. Racing doesn't have to be expensive to be fun.

Kroggs could you supply a link to the RCU site?

True. You could make a K&B really quick, but unfortunately they'd blow up even quicker. <_<
