Correction. It's a sightler 50". Should it be a surface drive or subsurface drive?Has anyone ever heard of this mono hull? Is it any good? I plan on putting a Picco 90 in it. Any thoughts and/or information would be greatly appreciated.
I switched my Dumas 377, 40" from sub surface to a stinger drive. I think it improves the performance.Greg never heard of the boat but most monos these days are surface drive
Danny, I have the opportunity to get this boat for free, however it needs a lot of body/hull work. I've read that using a surface drive the boat gets squirrelly at high speeds. I plan on putting a Picco 90 in the boats. What are your thoughts? They were good boats and ran good. Most were set up sub surface. I ran mine surface drive. Definitely worth running.
I’ve seen both work just fine.Danny, I have the opportunity to get this boat for free, however it needs a lot of body/hull work. I've read that using a surface drive the boat gets squirrelly at high speeds. I plan on putting a Picco 90 in the boats. What are your thoughts?
Wonder if that was one of A.T. Wrights "Lazer" hullsI had a splash of one that I got from John Pavlisko of the Sarasota club
I put a Picco Comp 90 in it and had a blast with it . Sold it to Mike Culhane in St Pete. Danny King might remember it .
