Finally have some nice weather so I unwrapped the Roadrunner and started bolting some items on today, more to come as time allows.

Fellas, I do have a question on this build, should I or should I not put a drain hole in the motor compartment?

The rudder is on the correct side, as my 45 is the same

I think what Allan was trying to say is that the rudder should move over another 1/2"+/- to the right. Looks like the strut bracket is mounted over the rudder bracket. Having the rudder too close to the strut may cause a prop issue. Looks that way in pic #1. I do not know this hull at all but I can see what Allan was trying to mention. As he said you should confirm with the builder.

You are correct the rudder should be moved to the right, so the rudder is inline with the tub side.

You can run the rudder there. As long the rudder end points are adjusted so it doesn't hit the propeller with a full left turn youll be fine. I have 2 boats with the rudder closer to the strut.

Ralph A and Joe W never speak or show pictures about RR set up on strut & rudder assembly without instruction paper????

Beau.. I've the same boat.. raced many times... If, you follow Ralph's instruction sheet to the letter for initial set up youll more than likely not change anything.... anyway... nice build man.. I currently run a modified 1457 cupped mid 4's on mine... - picco blackhead... youll find the stability of this hull in heat racing to your liking easily... good luck and get 'er on the water...

Looks Good. Hold a straight edge on the back side of the prop & if the water is exiting the prop behind the rudder your Good.... Speedmaster Hardware is Normally set up So the leading edge of the Rudder blade & the Prop are in line together...... You can double check this with the ruler trick...... Your Rudder location is OK..
