Has anyone used the 3M radio box tape from Aeromarine? Is it any good? What is the width? Also, how do you cut radio box tape down to about 1/2"?

Don

Never used it, but if it is like most 3M products it should be prety good.

The reason we have never used the 3M, is that our hatch tape is the best there is. Why change to an unknown and perhaps lesser product?

As for cutting it to 1/2" wide, Just run it through the band saw. 2 rolls for the price of 1. ;D

Don, I ve always used the 3m tape. it works great with no residue whatsoever. it comes usually in 3/4 inch wide rolls. Its is pricey though......like all 3m products. ~ james

Be carefully cutting with a bandsaw.. I tried that and thought I had a good grip on it... :p Never thought my hands could move so fast when the blade took it from me... :- I use Frost King and it works great... I now use a hobby knife and cut a few layers at a time..

I read a post about tape a while back and a good way to buy it was to get the 3m part number buy a case from a 3m distributor and divide it up.

What type of tape do you sell Climate? It looks like it may be the renfrew hockey sock tape. If it is that stuff, it won't stick to a nitro boats radio box. I've tried it many times on radio boxes made out of several types of material and it refuses to stick to anything that had any fuel spray near it.

The Prather and hockey tape doesn't stick as well to slightly wet or greasy surfaces as the Aeromarine 3M tape. I go through at least a roll a year and the cost is worth it.
