JJ asked me to post the following for this years Fall Nats in Charleston-

Attention Boat Racers..

I have opened the 2018 Fall Nationals Race on RC Racing Events.. the dates will be October 11th (controlled open water) Racing starts Friday the 12th-14th. Due to the high interest in this race please be considerate of your fellow racers and sign up for classes you will have boats ready for. Last year I had so many racers drop at the last minute because they couldn’t get the boat built. I was able to accommodate all the racers wanting to race last year and will do my best to do the same this year....CMB members have been entered. There will be a maximum class/boat entry of 6 boats for all racers. Waiting list will be by email only .. send to [email protected]

Hey Gang,

On October 12th,13th and 14th the Charleston Model Boaters will host the 2018 FALL NATIONALS at our club pond on Johns Island SC.. The CMB Fall Nationals have a long and prestigious reputation as one of the premier races in the IMPBA. This event routinely draws competitors from across the United States and abroad. The event typically draws over 100 racers and upwards of 350 boats showcasing some of the most competitive nitro & gas racing in the country. The success of the Fall Nationals would not be possible without the full support of our distributors, manufacturers, and friends such as you through donations and trophy sponsorships.

We are asking for your help as a sponsor by donating products and/or gift certificates to be used as door prizes as well as raffle prizes during the event. We are also seeking trophy sponsors for the 2018 FALL NATIONALS. Trophy sponsorships are only $75.00 per class.

Trophies will be given for first, second and third places. We will be using the cups like we did last year since they were so popular.

To show our appreciation for your generosity and to help promote your products/company we will give credit to you over the PA system throughout the race, during the raffle drawing, and during the trophy presentation. If you choose to sponsor a class, the name of your company will also be engraved on the trophies. This is a great way to advertise your products and promote racing. We would also like to invite you to send your banners, signage, stickers, or other items to highlight your products and your company. We hope we can count on you for your generous support.

The 2018 FALL NATIONALS is only a few months away. Please contact me if you can help. I will be posting a updated list soon.

We rented a house last year that was less than 1 mile from the race site which we will be renting again this year. Only way to go in my opinion.
