Also, where is all the riff raff staying at night? You planning on heading home each night Shawn??

Brad and I want to make sure we get the full cultural experience, (including the Atwell experience again) so ensureing we all stay close is an important thing for me/us

Rules?

This race started life as a STRA outboard tunnel event and now is done by the Brandon club under a NAMBA sanction. I hope the format will remain as has been done in the past, with variations and improvements in as time goes on. Here is what has been done in the past.

1. We ran best 4 of 5 heats and only one on Saturday so someone could just make Sunday and be competitive. That hasn't been an issue so with the growth of the race I think we forget timed laps and just have open water Till say 11 Sat. and get 2 or more heats in leaving Sunday to finish without pressure.

2. The tri-oval course and half course milling don't work well so we do a full course mill per IMPBA.

3. .21 sport tunnel and Mod VP run IMPBA sport rules as we don't want to burden IMPBA traveling members with more restrictive NAMBA motor rules. Most Florida tunnel racers have IMPBA legal motors as that's where we run as we travel.

4. Normal clock starts and for Mod VP and FE P/ltd we do beach starts.

That's about it for variations and this year we are looking at a larger turnout to an already competitive event. Can't wait

Ron,

Brandon is a NAMBA club and the pond requires a NAMBA membership or a one day event for IMPBA members.

Thanks Shawn. Several of us thinking about it. Hoping for 4-5 rounds of racing. On the radar screen for sure.

Since no one has answered Kris' question about the course, It has made me more curious. Does it look like this?

Where the yellow area is the driver's area, and the red outline is the basic idea of the Tri-Oval?

Edit: Actually Andy did answer, I just wanted a graphical representation of it. Does that look right?
