Heya Tim was at the pond yesterday and it looks a long way from open

The 21 is almost ready
From about 50 miles North of Minneapolis to the Iowa border the lakes are open here. Mille Lacs Lake about 90 miles North of the cities is just starting to open up along the West shore line. Lake Bemidji had 30 inches of good ice as of Monday afternoon. Minnesota's Walleye opener is Saturday. if you plan on fishing the lakes in the Northern 2/3's of the state leave your boat at home and pack your ice auger, Greg, Your .45 JAE looks sweet. Thank you everyone for the kudos on my twin. It's been a work in progress for a time and nearly ready to get wet.

Hey Richard I predict the lake will go out in the next few days, would you land the Beaver or that new Karavan on that lake. Maybe not quite long enough. By the way Scott called the other to talk about his new 1/8th Scale while he was in the process of jacking a plane, I asked what kind of plane, 747 he said.See ya ,Tim

I have a limited toy boat budget Julian. I bought the hull in March of 2011, then saved up the cash to buy the engines, pipes, headers, shafts, props, radio gear, ect. It was already snowball season here last fall by the time I had collected the last pieces of the puzzle, and it's just now trying to be spring in this area. No excuses, just reality.

The JAE21 will be sitting here waiting for my return and some softer water

Maybe just maybe Ill get one of the 45's done this summer

And Yes The Caravan or the Beaver could land on our Pond but only once

Tony, I simply drilled out the nipple on top of the rudder so the needle fits snug down into the nipple, then I slipped a piece of water line over the nipple and needle, put it back together and zip tied it. I'm not at home now but will be back Mon. I'll try to send you a closer pic. I ordered the needle from Glenn Quarles with Nova when I ordered the engine. I think it is an os needle?? You can ask Glenn, it's the one he uses. You can just use a piece of fuel line and put them together but it won't be as solid as it would be if you slip them together.
