Well, Thinks with the 1/10th scale are almost finished, so I worked on the 1/8th scale last night. Most of the hardware now has a home. A couple minor things to do, but I am now ready to finish the cowl mounting at the rear, and then sheet the sponson tops. Here is where the boat stands now. this is also the first time I have used Accutech hardware...its nice. I had to cut the rear of the extended strut off as it was just to long for the application, and how I wanted the inside bracket to mount. Mike

Thanks Jan!

Got some more done this weekend. After scratching my head for a week, I finally just decided to do magnets at the back like at the front. The pics do not show it, but i have glassed in the wood to the cowling, and put thickened up west system on and around the magnets and thickened west around the magnets in the hatch. So, at this point, I can move on to putting on the sponson top decks, finish the rear shoes, and finish the non trip transoms to properly match the full size hull. I am waiting on the dummy turbine right now, as they are out of stock at rcboatcompany. I really need to get one so I can figure out the rear hatch further. Mike

Back to it! Got the right side top deck installed. Wanted to do the left side last night, but ran out of time. That will happen this weekend. Still finish sanding to do around the edges of the front and inside edge.

Enjoy, Mike''

Well, This build is now coming to a close. Hull was finished last week, primed, and painted over the weekend. The front Canard still needs painting, but all in all, its looking good! Check out the turbine I made in about 30 minutes with only a couple of dollars of materials invested. I think it looks pretty good. Its not perfect, but if you look at the full size hull, they exhaust tube is pretty beat up, not crisp and perfect, so this gives a little of that used effect! Pretty happy with the turn out, and I think the new owner is pretty happy too...at least I hope!

As I was saying, I have to paint the front canard, run the rudder rod, but everything else is pretty much done. Gear is installed as well. This one will be running a NEU 1530 1y 1100kv on 10s lipo power, Castle Hydra Ice HV 200 amp esc, Futaba 4PKSr radio. Should be pretty strong! More pics soon. I will probably get it in the water before I ship it. So there will be some pics of it at least sitting in the pond. I am not going to run it much as its to much of a liability at this point to risk damage on my end.

Thanks Dan, i'm nothing special, just another guy!

Well, here are some final pics as I started boxing up the boat and parts last night. This may be one of my favorite paint schemes I have seen or done...Still partial to the Winston Eagle, but I do love red! Enjoy, and thanks for watching the build! Mike

Mike,

All I have to say is WOW! You have done amazing work for both of my hulls. I could not have asked for a better person to build both of these pieces of art.
