2011 NAMBA NAT'S

Just booked my flight to LA for the 2100 NAMBA Nats. Just wanted to know that everything was still going ahead and to plan. Steve and I are looking forward to som great competition but, most important, some great time with some 'old' friends.

Can anyone tell me the HQ hotel so I can get in early and get the good rates before all the 'locals' book.

Any info on the race, after hours activities and the hotel would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about that - if only I could live long enough to attend the 2100 Nats - I doubt I would be capable of driving the 350MPH Nuclear powered Hydro's of the day.

Looking forward to some time with "old" friends. Hmmm, maybe I'm a bit sensitive about the term "old".

If you guys need anything, let me know. I'll have the trailer and can bring extra tables, chairs, starting boxes, etc.

Hello Bill,

The committee is currently working in finalizing details for the hotel and all of their social activities for the week. There will be plenty of time for the hotel reservation part so you wont have to worry about getting your rooms. We have our district meeting the second weekend of December so I am sure that Russ Stark and Tony Rhodes (Contest Directors) will provide us with more information. I will keep you posted.

In the mean time I will see if I can find everyone a margarita glass (bowl) even close to the ones we had in Louisiana.

Hi guys, thanks for your comments. Steve and I are looking forward to doing 'it' again. I just hope it's not as hot next year as this.

Mind you, I would put up with the heat to go on another air-boat ride and see the look on that guys face when Steve pretended to trip and shove the baby aligator in his lap. Pure terror in his eyes.

So Al Hobbs, been going for walks again like in Europe? We will let you know, Al, if we need anything and thanks for the offer.
