****2010 Orlando Winter Nats Flier****

Last hijack here just consider it a bump. Will start an OB discussion where it belongs. One thing is if the Winternats will consider adding an "A stock/sport" tunnel class I will offer to sponsor the class. Understand if its too late but there is interest.

Alright guys....Here's the deal. If I receive 6 paid entries (write it in on the entry form) and class sponsor for "A" Stock/Sport Tunnel postmarked no later then October 31, 2009 we will add the class to the 2010 Winter Nats. Just to let you guys know, I have been involved in setting up this race for the last 3-4 years and this is the first time that I can remember this class being brought up. IF it has a good turnout it will be offered at future races.

I find it incredibly insensitive to put a deadline of coming up with a full class of entries and sponsorship in 6 days, with a race that is over 3 months away. There is absolutely no reason to do this except to try and get the class to fail. This deadline should be no sooner than a month from the race, or when the max boat count has been reached. The CMB club would NEVER do this act and maybe is why we host the World OB Tunnel Championships. You need to be more sensitive to the tunnel racers that want to run the class.

Your telling me that we can run stock tunnel IF you get six entries AND a sponsor in a week? It would not be a problem to do, but it's the PRINCIPLE I'm concerned about.

The Winternats aren't till the end of January right?

Are you ready to do the same for Jersey Skiff or Gas Crackerbox? They don't draw a third of what A Stock Tunnel does but they made the flier...

It's no wonder we have to drive to S.C. to race tunnels.

I never knew stock tunnel even existed until I watched them run at the tunnel championship.

What you fail to realize is that not everyone has the money to send in another entry in a week. there are other races that just required an entry to be sent in, a lot of racers just got back from the Fall Nats as well. I guess if I want to run stock tunnel, I need to send in a special entry now, then, send another entry in in the next two months to enter everything else I wanted to run in.

I still cannot understand how an entry level class gets left out of points class status. What exactly are we telling the new guys? Sure you can spend the money on the boat, radio and motor, but you guys aren't good enough for us to buy you a trophy at the end of the year.

Seen this coming, I beleive if Wayne would kindly give the A stock tunnel class proper deadlines (maybe a 30-60 day extension?), that we will find that there will easily be enough boats for at least 2 heats,no promises but gut feeling,with Mic sponsering class thats taken care of, WE MUST PLAY WELL TOGETHER AND RESPECT FELLOW RACERS PASSION FOR THIS HOBBY BIG BOATS OR LITTLE BOATS GAS OR NITRO!!. Before we get stupid will you guys just send in an entry form and pay for one boat (21 sport/stock) and send the rest of your entries later, That way Wayne knows we are serious. He needs paid entries and we can make it happen. A week ago we weren't even on the docket so even the narrow window is doable. I don't think there's a conspiracy here so don't create one. Ante up and lets show up in force and win the war without loosing a battle.

As VP of the Brandon Club our club would like to prepay for the first(8) entries of A stock tunnel in exchange for same deadline as other classes ,,,Reasons?? Want to this to go away ,,,,,--it makes us look bad to argue amongest ourselves, lock this class in for the winter nats,gives every body time to enter and or even decide to build and run another class,, most of all open the door for more racers to get involved,please accept this offer on behalf of all A stock Tunnel drivers and the Brandon Club, no pun or prodding intended just trying to resolve.

I don't see it on Brandons race for November. I've been to 15 of 16 Dist 3 meetings and haven't heard word one of this class. So why the hell are you jumping on my back for trying to help.

Every Namba Nationals Event held since 1999 has had A Stock tunnel as a class. Check the Namba website.

Deryl will be racing his A Stock Tunnel and our entry (with payment) will be sent in next week since they do not take paypal. We had a blast last year and are looking forward to seeing all the great people that will be there in 2010. jj

Steve, thanks for stepping in to secure the class. I would like to attend the winternats, but my entry isnt going in until it gets a little closer as I am not sure about a few things panning out. If stock wasnt added, it wouldnt have been a little far to drive for only 2 classes. 3 is much more doable.

Thanks to Wayne for adding it to the list, I dont think you guys will have any trouble filling the class. I hope to be there, with tunnels in tow.
