Racers,

Due to a number of overwhelming requests, we have decided to extend the entry deadline for the International Regatta to June 19th. I'm being told that with this crazy economy, many races are still working on ways to make it possible for them to attend, and not to miss out on this grand event. But I have to let you know, that your entry has to be in hand by the 19th or we will never make the latest deadlines. We need the final numbers and classes for awards to be ordered, numbers are needed by the caterer, final heat sheet drafts sent to the printer, and the list goes on. There will be no additional extensions due to time restraints.

Racers, if you know me, I like to run my boats and hand out awards. I have been fortunate enough to meet a lot of great people over the last two Regatta's, and truly enjoyed handing out some well deserved US-1 titles to many of them.

Updates:

Sponsor donations are now coming in: there's engines, batteries, hulls, and much more in between.

Wednesday nights dinner, bond fire, and night race should be nothing but good food and fun.

Enough tease,

Here is some numbers on each of the classes with many of the classes being just a few entries short in the numbers needed to qualify and compete for US-1:

B Mono 13 B Hydro 11 B Tunnel 12 B Sport Tunnel 13 LSG27 Rigger 3

D Mono 9 D Hydro 9 D Tunnel 10 LSG27 Mono 4 E Tunnel 4

E Mono 0 F Mono 4 E Hydro 5 F Hydro 6 F Tunnel 3

Sport 40 14 1/8th Scale 15 LSG27 Sport Hydro 9 Multi-Engine Hydro 4 LSG27 Cat 4

RTR 5

Night Race 2

Get those plans made and your entries in. Lets all have some fun and excitement come July in Seville.

I'll be enjoying my last relaxing fun race at Celina next weekend before all the hard work begins. Dan and the guys, always make it a fun and enjoyable time.

Your more then welcome to hunt me down and hand in your entry in person.

Mike

"A minimum of eight boats are required to make the US-1 class. If the class does not fill, it will drop from its running spot and that classes 24 spots will be opened up in other US-1 classes where needed."

Do you need to drop classes?

You could let them run for a national champ award.

When the final numbers are in, we'll decide what to do with the classes that don't make the 8 boats needed. But speaking for myself, you come all the way to Seville Ohio to run your boat, I should do my best to make sure you do.

Thanks Mike for all your hard work hosting our IMPBA Internats and having the cojones for trying something new!

If the numbers don't come in for the classes that were added another solution might be drop the minimum to 6 boats.

There's nothing in our Rule Book that would prevent you from doing this...

We will see, hopefully the added time will help the people who are still working out ways to join us.

Had a great time in Celina, thanks Dan and the crew (hope someone finds my cowl). Remember racers, depending on what class your racing, you don't have to be there all week. Our goal is to finish each two day set of classes, in the two days listed (weather and time permitting). That's two days of heat racing, straights, and oval timed events, if you qualify. Wednesday night dinner and fun and Saturday nights awards banquet. Lots to see and do in NE Ohio, rock n roll hall of fame, football hall of fame, the great lakes and the famous islands, cedar point, and the list goes on. Could you be the next IMPBA US-1 title holder? A plaque you will hang on the wall (upstairs, not in the workshop down in the basement like my wife tells me LOL) and treasure for many years.

See you in Seville.
