hey guys does anybody have hull 138-8255 it's the 82 oh boy oberto executone 83 kisw hull if so can you shoot me some pics of the bottom front I don't have the newton plans and the angles on the bottom front seem odd to me that are lasered on ml's kit thanks my email is [email protected] or

If you're talking about the bottom of the bulnose block, it should be sanded to the same angle as the bottom panel and then rounded off after installing the deck. The reason you need to install the deck first is so you can have a radius that will match the deck and the bottom without having to sand too much off

Ok thanks for the help

It took me a while but I finally found a picture that shows what I was referring to in my last post. If you look at the deck, between the sponsons, you can see how the forward edge is rounded. This radius goes all the way around the bow block(and yes, it actually is a laminated wood block that goes all the way across the front of the boat) to the bottom of the hull. The nose cowl actually shows the effect better since you can see how it goes from the top skin, around the front with a consistant radius, and ends when even with the bottom of the cowl.

And now, for your viewing pleasure, here is a video that shows the U-40 American Speedy Printing boat which is the same boat you're building, except a year later:
