I have a really good .10-.12 Hydro I am looking to convert to electric. The hull with ALL running hardware weighs in at 11oz. Is it feasable to convert this to electric? The boat ran 50 mph a long time ago with an OS Max .10 sleeve bearing aircraft engine. I am not looking for that speed yet, where do I start with cells and motor/speed control combinations? Thanks for any help.

50 mph with an OS .10MAX?? Then I can assume that it is not a Dumas Lil' Rascal... ;)

You should be able to convert it to FE. Depending on the size, it should work well on 6 to 12 cells. You will probably have to re-do the driveline, and you'll have to modify the deck so you can seal the hatches down fully. How fast you want to go depends on how much you want to spend. Let me know the size first.

lolol,no it's not a Lil Rascal. It is a scaled down version of one of my 20 Hydros. The driveline is .125 flex, very free. I will take some measurements and post them.I do understand the hatch situation. Thanks again for the info.
