My SG had 22oz and it had lots left after the race. the new SGX has a lower tub and the slant front tank Walt just made holds 19.9oz.
Last weekend I raced it and had plenty left after the heat.
18oz should do you for racing. Just don't run 5 laps wide open in mill time.
Also the 2118 will push that boat around some in the corners. You will need a wider rudder and a turn fin about 1/2" or more .050 Titanium works good. It will flex like a spring.
Remember a shorter boat will turn quicker some give in the fin helps cushion the boat in the turn.
It will take the darting out of the boat making it easer to drive.
Chased the rudder and fin on my boat and these changes made it easer to drive at speed and stopped it from pop out in the turns.
