1 day races in Dist 3?

OK. here's the talk.

At Brandon this past weekend Andy Smith and myself talked about the revamp of WCRA (west coast racing assn.) and threw this at me..... Would we be willing to travel as far south as Ft.Myers for a 1 day. There is a chance it can happen.

Finding room in the schedule, but here is a place that could draw from across Alligator Alley too, and create a great opportunity. Tampa, Brandon, Lee County (Ft. Myers/ Cape Coral) all one tank trips (almost!!)

Also the return of Lake Wales aka cow beach could be possible with a little shmoozing of Rick and Sharon Crocker.

Time to seriously discuss this....

This is on the agenda for the Brandon and Tampa clubs to hold an additional 2 day or 1 day race but we are having a heck of a time finding room in the schedule. Between the races in district 13 and 3 along with the Charleston races the schedule is packed! Also in the past there has been low support for a 1 day race. But if we find room we may do something.

That would be great to see the WCRA 1 day races come back again.....that series has a great history of being some of the most purely FUN, most laid back racing events around! Lottsa good memories....!
