Notch on the top of the cylendar sleve. What is it for?

I beleive you're talking about the set pin which correctly lines up the ports with the fuel channels in the casing. There should be a notch in the casing as well.

    Green head or purple???

You might want to compare the fuel "channels" which conduct the fuel from the crankcase to the ports like the green head has. I know they are different than the yellow head. If they are not the same as the greenhead you will never be able to duplicate it and you'd be money and time ahead to...

Come out and Celebrate the Life of Roger Newton

My hat is off to the people responsible for the Czar's memorial celebration. The set up in the museum was perfect, the video presentation was awesome and what a treat is was to see the MiniCzar fire up that allison. Also, it was gratifying, but not surprising, to see so many people there. I...

    Roger Newton...

David, We were at the pond testing when we heard the sad news. To say we were stunned is putting it mildly. It's hard for me to imagine a race without the Czar. In the short 3 years Iv'e known him he's been a friend, mentor amd somewhat of an antagonist on the course. ( I loved it and so did...

    More round nose questions

Hi Brent, You saw my belly pan (3/4") at Marysville and I think the lower the engine the more stable the ride which is critical with my roundnose. As long as I have a sponge under the carb I have no water issues and it does keep the merlin low and where it belongs. R

    1/8 Scale Karelson Hydro

I am running a Karelson hull and agree with Marc that an air dam cuts down on lift by causing turbulence and that means drag with less speed. At the end of my sponsons I have well over an inch depth difference between it and the tunnel. It wanted to blow over without the dam (1/2" aluminum...

Shovel Nose Hydro - Set up

My roundnose has a radio box in front and 2-ten oz. tanks on the sides as far forward as possible. Even though there's a small servo box rear port, the CG is just ahead of the end of the sponson by 1/2". I've tried to eliminate as much weight at the transom as I can and run a deep strut. You...
