    The Evil Twin 90 SGX

Hey Charles, do you know how the case sizes compare from the VAC 91 to the EVO 101’s? Are they larger?

    The Evil Twin 90 SGX

Hi Charles, don’t want to dismantle my boat but have attached a pic of I don’t remember who’s but was where I got the idea from. Only thing I did differently was that I also covered the engine bay separating beam too and the back side of the bulkhead that separates the engine and fuel bays. And...

    The Evil Twin 90 SGX

That’s what I did with my Eagle resurrection, in the engine and fuel bays, turned out nice and with good strength. Haven’t raced the beast yet, with our virus down time I’m going to finally get the last of my testing done. Hope we all get back racing sometime this year, want to unchain this thing!

    JAE 67/84 build up

Is there a rule of thumb for how much gap should be between the trailing edge of the ski and strut? I have a couple of ski boats and haven’t run into this issue, makes sense though to keep the prop hub appropriately wet.

    .

It’s fun to watch people try and talk the sellers into a steal of deal and have to admit when Larry re-posted this beauty with its new zero’s I did say to myself, wow, that’s a lot. I then did the math on my own twin Eagle resurrection from a year back and is directly comparable to Larry’s rig...

    Nova 90 Pipe

11 1/2, closer to sea level you could probably shorten that some but where I have it, it pulls any prop I put on it but as for me I lighten up on the prop and let it rev and it likes it! Not loading it up to heavy with prop keeps the R’s up and let’s it pull off the corners hard.

    Nova 90 Pipe

Not certain what elevation your running at but here in Alberta I found that most smaller narrow band pipes gave me good but erratic performance. I bought an AA 90 parabolic pipe from Hobbs and it turned my NR 90 into a reving torque monster that has never missed a beat since. Elevation here...

    Hydroplane Measurements

I was surfing around in the MHR last night and found that the 91 Madison and 93 day glow Frosted Flakes was the same boat. Wish I had my boat back together to show you all the detail but am a few weeks away from that. It got ran over awhile back and am in the midst of full repairs.

Replicating a mahogany boat with a glass hull

I’ve seen some people who have painted faux mahogany and it looks pretty good. My Nitrogen started its life intending to be the full mahogany Miss US but I I wanted more colour so chose the Nitrogen. But it was built with 1/32 decking and then overlayed with super thin door skin mahogany, the...

    91 Valvoline Madison help

Hi Grayson, when I pulled out all my pics I remembered how I arrived at my turbine cradle/tray build strategy. My photos are a little too far away and when blown up they get grainy, I used them for the final appearance estimates and along with my plans I worked it all out. Sorry that I don’t...

Game Changers or Change of Life Props

Have spent countless hours S&B’g props but am so thankful for the masters like Andy, Mark, Eric and a few others who have taken up the task of creating these fine pieces of jewelry, not to mention they flat out work like a charm! A saying from my sledding days, it’s all in the clutching, props...

Game Changers or Change of Life Props

Last year the wife got too curious about how many motors I have, today while admiring my new prop haul she asked, how much do you have invested in props, I took a big gulp of air and played dumb, don’t know babe, have never added it up, she and the rest of the family laughed and said, I bet Dad...

    91 Valvoline Madison help

I have dozens of photos of the 93 transom and cowled and uncowled turbine tube pics but don’t know if it’s exactly the same as the 91. In 93 it had a pretty elaborate turbine tube cradle that I had to fabricate, one of the best scale features on my 93, real tedious to build. Out camping now...
