That’s not an OPS pipe. All OPS pipes get to the widest point then stay that size until you get to the very back where the stinger comes out. The OPS 80 and OPS 90 also use the same pipe. Pic for reference.

Definitely toss the straight shaft. Set it up like any other hydro or rigger on the bench. Put the strut flat with no positive or negative angle and set the depth of the center of the shaft at the same depth as the bottom of the sponsons. Your bigger issue will be finding the balance point. I...

No just gas boats but I’m getting ready to build a nitro boat and will test it on that before I spray it.
