Had the 3PV for years. Great low cost high feature radio with telematics if you don't care about all the advanced bells and whistles. Just recently switched to the 4PM which has the servo speed feature unlike the 3PV. Seems to make the boats drive a little smoother but that feature is more of a...

2 stroke oil amsoil dominator or redline racing oil?

I know the one thing that makes Klotz different than all the others is that it has castor oil in it. When I was using Dominator I had 3 rod bearing failures in 1 year. Since I switched to Klotz Super Techniplate early last year there have been zero engine issues of any kind and they run much...

2 stroke oil amsoil dominator or redline racing oil?

I used 9 oz of Dominator to a gallon of rec fuel in all my gas engines because that is what my original engine builder told me to use. With that, I was always getting this oily "splooge" all around the carb area inside and outside of the hull and cowl after every run. I talked to Roger Pane...

    Tower Hobbies 1991

I remember every year we went to the Toledo Hobby Show which filled an entire arena. The crowd was so packed you could hardly get around. The local brick and mortar hobby shops were thriving and a key part in all of the hobbies. Sad that those days have been long gone for quite some time...

    T4PM Won't Display RX Voltage - RESOLVED

I knew this would be something stupid... Nowhere that I can find does the manual tell you there are 2 pages of the home screen. I called Futaba and they knew right away what the problem was and said it's a pretty common question for that transmitter. At the home screen, if you press the + or -...

    T4PM Won't Display RX Voltage - RESOLVED

I have 4 boats all with the same model R304SB RX and they all have the same issue. I had a 3PV and that function worked fine for all of them. I know this is going to end up being something stupid that I missed... Thanks Mike, Marty

    T4PM Won't Display RX Voltage - RESOLVED

I read thru those pages again. The only issue I have is that on the "DISP" menu, only TLMTR, USER, and TIMIR are available selections when using the +/- buttons. "RXVOL" (or any of the others not listed above) are not shown as a selection like it is depicted in the manual screen shot.

    T4PM Won't Display RX Voltage - RESOLVED

The upper voltage (6.8v) displayed is the TX battery. I would think the RX battery voltage would appear in the lower right box marked " __ __.__V". Correct? Thanks Tyler, Marty

    T4PM Won't Display RX Voltage - RESOLVED

Hey guys, Just got my T4PM TX today and was setting it up. All went well except I can't get the telemetry RX voltage to display on the home screen. First I updated to the latest software from Futaba Setup with R304SB RX and as a T-FHSS Normal protocol. RX ID as well as RX voltage are shown on...

    New Cowl Mount Idea

The small puck type magnet system seems to work well once you find the right balance of retension strength to removal effort. After removing and reinstalling a cowl hundreds of cycles, I can say I have never had to replace one due to loss of retension strength. It will be interesting to see how...

    New Cowl Mount Idea

Thanks David for coming up with this... How will retension integrity wear be affected by the number of times a cowl is removed and reinstalled over time? Marty

Optimal Rudder and Throttle Servo Speeds

Some time ago in a previous post on this forum about this subject someone mention the advantages of slowing the throttle servo down some also. Of course I can't find that post but does anyone do this also and for what benefit? Thanks guys! Marty

Optimal Rudder and Throttle Servo Speeds

That helps alot by giving me a good starting point and then fine tune from there. Thanks Alex and John! Marty

Optimal Rudder and Throttle Servo Speeds

Hi John, hope you are doing well these days! I think I'm trying to compensate my older 50 mph brain for these 75+ mph boats, lol... The new transmitter is a Futaba T4PM and I have Savox servos in everything. Sounds like it's not a simple cut and dried setting situation thus requiring some...

Optimal Rudder and Throttle Servo Speeds

Hi guys, Stepping up to a transmitter with the servo speed adjustment features. I run gas riggers and gas sport boats. What are the optimal rudder and throttle servo speed settings you guys that rely on those features use? What reaction should be expected with those settings? Thanks, Marty

Parts Wanted Can This Be For Real or a Scam?

If it is fake...it's a REALLY GOOD fake site. (wonder if Futaba knows about this) Wasn't that hard to find. The web address is so close to the genuine site it's easy to miss the difference at first glance. To avoid anyone else getting sucked in is why I posted here on the forum. Marty

Parts Wanted Can This Be For Real or a Scam?

The "official" Futaba site is "futabausa" where this one is "futaba-us" in the web address. A little unsure about that...Are you sure it's legit?
