Here’s some video and a pic from the “Duck’s” maiden voyage after repairing over the winter. Getting low 60’s on this run and have since changed the turn fin after spending some time with Brian Blazer. It is now cornering faster and more stable.

Ok the last two cans of this stuff I’ve gotten into? Garbage. Splattering etc… Fortunately I’m priming a small repair area. I should be able to wet sand the crap out but still it’s annoying as hell. At 20.00 plus a can they need to do better.

Nice build thread as usual. I referred to your Slingshot thread multiple time during that build. I will follow suit with this one. I love that you added parts references and supplier contacts on this one. It’s a great addition for those newer to the hobby.

100% agree Mike. Sharing ideas, especially with younger folks (the future of our hobby), is part of our path forward!

Cool! Can you explain the dipping process? Certainly that whole design on the cowl wasn’t from a hydrodip? I thought all you could do with that process was swirls and what not. I’m fascinated by this!

Yeah that’s a good plan. There’s nothing worse than spending all the time to make a boat look nice and then having it get dinged up when it inevitably blows over or hooks or whatever because your setup isn’t dialed in. It’s a lot easier to make any needed repairs or changes without worrying...

One of my favorite boats and drivers all time. That is one big boat. I would recommend having towing capability or maybe a pole with a hook on it in your retrieve boat. Gas Scales are a foot or more shorter than that one and they are an absolute back breaker to lift over the side of a retrieve...

I currently have flex shafts in both of my Backlashes. They will be scary fast with SFD when I get around to retrofitting them. I’ve seen the above boat run at our lake it is impressive.
