When I wrote the Gas Scale rules for NAMBA I mirrored the 1/8 scale rules except for hull size - I don't know why IMPBA added language that was different from there 1/8 scale nitro rules..... I did work with IMPBA so that the hull size matched for both groups so we would not have different size...

Thanks Scott - I want to point out that the Gas Scale Rules were written to mimic 1/8 Nitro Scale Rules so bumps in the cowling and pipes running out past the dummy turbine tube is not accepted in the NAMBA rules.... Marty

Hi Doug - Since I was the one the created the Gas Scale rules for NAMBA let me explain the rational why we chose 1/6th scale. It was that if we had gone to 1/5th a majority of the hulls would have been illegal to run under NAMBA insurance - NAMBA Max boat length is 60 inches - I know its not...

Hi Mike - The NAMBA Legal Thunderboat class is invited this year to the NW Scale Hydroplane race - Since this is a stock class motors will be inspected along with hull dimensions. Looking forward to seeing all the racers this year - Looks like it will be a big turnout

Great looking “Gas Scale”

The best set up I found was to use a 5 degree hot pipe header and hot pipe

I saw him at the Unlimited Race in Tri City's - He has had a lot going on and had to put making boats parts on hold for now. Marty
