    Zenoah methanol conversion

    guys, Not enough bang for the buck or effort. Without going into a two hour dissertation...............Zenoah engines are piston port and therefore don't convert to alky with results worth the trouble. Port timing is too critical and flow is a huge issue without being able to seal the induction...

I'm putting on a first off race in July and the pond is still a couple feet low on water!! yes my way cuts down on sanding, but unfortunately doesn't eliminate it.................... yea, old scale boats become office ornaments...

    Tim, yes just lay it over and overlap at least 1 inch so the hump will be spread out. after curing and it's ready to fill, I spread a think coat of bondo over the seam and sand it out, you'll never see it

    Mark, I wouldn't think the paint and clear would add much in the way of durability to anything. Actually it's been my experience that they are the weak points of the whole system. problem with paint and clear is always getting them to stick to the project and stick to each other! compatability...

    Not sure I can be convincing enough but I've used my system for 25 years. built over 20 hydros and 8 scale hydros and have never experienced any durability or waterproof issues. I've never used west systems resin and they may be diffrent chemically but I will guarantee, you will use way more...

    occationally I'll thin 30 minute to get it down into a corner or some special situation but jsut a touch of thinner to loosen it up a bit. otherwise no I don't thin everything, just finshing resin. gh
