Short of buying a new "hi-zuit" radio, is there a standalone way to get RPM and speed telemetry in real time? Preferably something that cam be moved from one boat to another easily.

speed - yes
rpm - no
rpm is not real time. you have to stop and read display in boat.

I have 3 x eagletree units which have gps and rpm.
I could sell one if your interested.

But search for GPS and telemetry on these forums and you will find some good threads on other units

Thanks

Can you send me a little info on what you have and what you would take?

I have the same one as Mike . In my opinion it is very accurate. Tried it on the freeway (highway) in 3 different cars 😂

I can't think of any solutions that would be lower cost than buying the nicer radio.

The GNSS GPS unit is bluetooth which means to connect to it and get a reading you will need to be around 20ft distance from the boat to pickup the reading. Easily one of those most accurate GPS units out there and even reads through CF hulls decently well.

Futaba for example offers a magnet sensor based RPM telemetry feature.
FlySky Noble NB4 has some nice features for telemetry also.
