Winston Eagle Neon Orange

Looking for the actual color # for the neon orange in the Winston Eagle boats. Managed to have lost both sets of plans somewhere in my boat stuff.

I have been using the SEM stop lite red. They dont make it any more. Discontinued in end of 23'. I was able to get one more can before it was all gone. House of color has some flour paints but dont know which one is the one you want.

Painting two Winston's at the same time. A Phil Thomas I wrecked at the NATS and one from Jerry Pincenot that I got from Al Hobbs. Once I have the wood done will finish up mt PT

Thee is no sustainable color for these boats. The paint always fades. I am doing a full re-paint of the PT and first time for the wood build. As soon as I get the paint from my supplier I will post. Well if I can get it from him.

Kevin, I don't have the actual part #, but the color was called Day Glow Red.

Don talked ages ago of a tangerine ppg color but I could never get a match on the paint code. I don’t care if it’s flourescent my smoking joes is painted the bike team colors and looks fine.

Working with my paint supplier and they said they could match the paint from HOK with a base that will not fade. They were making up some samples to do a spray out and then let sit in the sun. I will be stopping by to see the results tonight.

I have a lot of history with your old PT Winston but after it's all re-painted you never know. I had not planned on racing the wood one. It's more of a show and play Winston. It was built by a D16 boater that passed. It's more of a memorial build. I have almost a year so far in finishing it.

It will fade while in the sun. More clear helps. Rc boats don't spend enough time in the sun to fade very much. Sorry to disappoint.

Looks like one front pin and 2 rear latches. You can see it in the pic.

allis true as far as the base,chartruese neon yello has less fade and holds it's color brillance if the base is champion yellow instead of white,same goes with red,orange ,green,blue

my 21 eagle is marker paint let the pressure off the can with a very small hole then air brush it then a fuel proof clear finish

If your having trouble finding the same colour go to a panel shop and it scanned. My mate does mine for me and hasn’t missed yet
