I'm just throwing this out as an alternative to using crab trap bouys or other types of bouys.
Most of us experience the high cost and availability for bouys, and I found this.
It measures 6" x 6" and 125 each or a 16 in a case

We use 4 regular pool noodles the correct colors put together with packing tape
 
Nice thing about the pool noodle buoy, is collect the pieces and tape them all back together. Bingo instant buoy repair. Home Depot sell the floursent colored tape.

Actually we using 3 pool noodles the correct colors held together with 6" wide shink rap & at top/bottom 1 rap of correct color vinyl tap to keep them together. It's cheap, no painting required "ugg". I use 2- 1/4" wide rubber bands with a paper clip to attach from rubber band to sub body. With 2 rubber bands to paper clip will straighten out when the hit rather than rubber band breaking. A nail is used to hold rubber band in place on bottom side pushed through into 2 of the 3 noodles, this is after all rapping is on. It's easy to change rubber bands this way. Someone in our club hit the clock float once with an F mono wide open … the styrofoam block was like 4’x4’x1.5’ thick… it drove in so deep, we couldn’t pull it out on the water in the retrieve boat, had to pull the clock to shore and it took a couple of people pulling on the hull and holding the clock to get it loose!!
Good times!
