Wouldn't the IMPBA secretary and president be a better avenue to pursue that question?
Well you would think so, But we are 4/5 weeks from having our NEW District Nominees up front & Center & there has Not been a Single Discussion from Anyone that even mentioned a single thing about this. So I smell a Appointed Person of Interest for that Position!!
I only heard today that Nick was not running again for dist 5 director.. seems we have a very short time to get the nominees Chosen up front & center. Hopefully Nick has shared the timeframe that we are working with you?
Yes, everything is done, I have been nominated and accepted. I wrote a bio also and that should be in the next Roostertail when it comes out.
He has been thinking about it for a while. I think he really just needs a break. Between being President of the club, the Dist 5 rep and some health issues, he just need a break. We talked at the Gas Nats and I think that’s what he was really waiting on. He wanted to make sure someone would step up.
D5 members, first and foremost, I want to thank everyone for entrusting me as your District Director over the last 6 years. It has been an honor and a privilege ! The process for nominations for anyone who wants to run, are clear and have always been the same, whether a sitting DD is running or not. It is open to anyone interested in the position of "service" to our great organization. I have been and am currently going thru some health issues and feel it best that someone else takes the position, as I don't feel I can be an effective DD as I go thru it. Again, thank you for the support over the years. As of now, Chris has been officially nominated (per the bylaws)for the position, and I feel he will do an amazing job. DD is a thankless position, but an important one in our governing body, and is voluntary, To everyone that volunteers their time and effort, thank you for all you do.
Nick you did a great job in getting District five up in membership to get the extra vote for D5. Thank you for the job you have done.
