I picked up a Rico mono set up for 4s at the Gas Nats. This is just going to be a play boat and probably never raced. I’m looking for something I believe in the Octura x440 range or I’m guessing a Prather 240 would work also. I no longer have anything that small. Anyone have something that small in decent shape they are looking to unload?

Chris, what size motor do you have? length and diameter, make?

Generally a 40mm prop is too small for a 2030 kv. A 45-47mm 1.4 pitch ratio prop is probably in the right ballpark. Something between a 20-40 nitro mono prop.

I took this pic last night. I would have to go mic it, I don’t have a clue on the size other then what’s printed here. lol, I’m no elec guy this was just an impulse buy. I was just looking for something my kids could run.

Chris,

That is a SSS 3656 motor. It's a very common entry level P-Ltd motor. Should be good for about 80-90A continuous. Try a X445, 442/3, 1814/3.
If you want it as a solid play boat it is hard to beat an X440/3.

Great, that’s what I put on it, a 440/3 and I found 4 new 5200 4s packs that I had forgotten about. So I should be good to go with teaching them how to drive a boat!!
