I have been trying (unsuccessfully) for several months to get a collet for the K-21 with a square drive (preferred) or 3/16” insert. I was directed to Speedmaster but every time I ask about them I am told they aren’t in stock and I can’t get a timeframe for when they will be.

The thread pattern on the crank is an odd 1/4-32. Does anyone else make or sell a collet like this? Does anyone have one they could spare?

You buy tap M6x 0.80 thread through Amazon Can you repair on old collet 1/4-28 and turn slow tap through

I modified Allen's to accept a 3/16 shaft. If the thread is in fact 1/4 32 tpi that is the same as a standard glow plug. You are looking for a square drive for 3/16 shaft?? I have some square drive collet. IO just need to make sure the TPI is 1/4 32. Once I have that info I will see if I can make one up for you.

Can you measure the ID of the area where the collet fits into the flywheel so I can make a proper recess on the collet. I am just about done.

Harry is down a critical man in the shop presently. Some items, carburetors in particular, are backed up at least a month.

Need your address and I'll get it off to the post today

I had same issue a and digging through my collet collection found a smooth bore collet for an electric motor. Just need to drill out in the lathe and tap for 1/4 32. OSE has collets for electric.
