Zip Kits Thunderboat Air Cooling

Another question from a newbie on these gas Thunderboats. How much ventilation is really needed on the Zip SLR Missile? I cut the front air inlets out per the pattern in the build book. I cut out pretty much the entire cockpit bottom area as shown, as well as the boat's stock laser cut out side vents. Does the top deck need really need the large slots per the instructions? I have seen some boats that just have a couple of clam shell vents on the top deck. I drew a couple of spots on the top left deck where the pipe's max ID is as well as the exit pipe joint. Should I do a clam-shell type vent in these areas too? Any advice would be appreciated.

interesting subject, you were being specific on a certain boat but enough air for the motor to breathe and enough fresh air exchange to get rid of as much hot air from the pipe is something all of us boaters need to keep in mind.
i am in the process of building a 56 apache with a 26 zen and plans to run a cockpit cover . enough air is a concern and i made up some naca ducts i will most likely install . when i am done i hope to have enough air into the boat. we will see

I ordered printed airplane gauge sheet in 8th scale. I made the panel in 3 layers. 1st layer is 0.030 polystyrene sheet cut to shape. 2nd layer is thin clear plastic scrap fro packaging material that covers the glued on gauge faces. The top layer is 0.030 with holes drilled to show gauge faces. I stuck everything together with dabs of shoegoo glue.

Okay everyone it's on now my zippkits missile just arrived today's mail wonder if I can have it ready for the Fort Ritchie race on Saturday the 11th

While battling a knee injury...i have 8 hours into this boat and coming alone smoothly...getting ready to glass the center seam then seal the interior. I will also glass the inner structure.
