OPS made two types of head buttons for the OPS, one of them was nitro and the other was designed as a high compression alky head. I run lower nitro and looking for the european alky version.

Hi Ray,

Haaa...the .45's look massive when your used to the .21's arent they.

Let me measure up the dome on my nitro button and I'll post back and we can compare. The bigger chamber would be the nitro version but lets hope. :)

Mine is a smidge under 5/8" across the dome, and the squish looks like about an 1/8" per side.

Your's I hope is the smaller version, that would be the alky one.

Aeromarine used to carry them, and even would check the motor to be sure they were sending out the nitro heads if not requested otherwise, but I called them recently and you know the rest of the story.

Jet, Looks like I have the same button. .609 dia. :(

Thanks for taking a look, Ray. I guess I keep on searching!

It's hard knowing some of them are still out there and probably rolling around in the bottom of someones tool box.

Maybe rummage sales are the answer.

I can kick myself for not picking one up when Aeromarine had them or asking OPS themselves, but thats almost an impossible task.

I've wondered also if that OPS .40 pylon engine has the same bore size. I know those come with them.
