WTB crankshaft for an AquaCraft .18

Hey gang,

I'm looking for a Crankshaft for an AquaCraft .18 Vegas motor.

Last night was RTR Tuesday at the Grand Rapids pond and one of our new club members broke a crank in his Vegas. It was only the 3rd time in the water too. But I'd like to get him back up and running as soon as possible. I checked with Tower and no stock till late this month.

Can anyone help out?

Another option is a crank for the duratrax .18 tower might have those in stock.some say it is a better crank, and its even cheaper than the aqua crank.

yep you wright!! I'd told you guys that info. Found out last year. I'd asked Russ Williamson/aquacraft rep in spring of 07. Because I saw a duratrax on towerhobby and said to myself its the same motor as aquacraft,just a different name stamped on the block. Well I was wright,Russ told me yes there are the same motor but with different cooling heads. Heres another example, Thunder tiger made the BX-R&BX buggy motors,there parts on the most side fits the marine versions,same block&pistion&cyclender sets.But also team accosiate.21and other team motors would inner change with the thundertigers too,because thundertiger made motors for team acc.

Not sure if its better when its the same motor other than the head <_< <_<

well from what ive been told the dtx cranks have a radius on them from wieght to shaft,,,, where the aqua crank is a perfect 90 degree angle.... so that would make it better right there i beleive,,,, i have not personally had one in my hand but i will soon,,,, its got me curious....
