Weedeater boat won't turn (??). Everything works well on the dock but won't turn once launched. Any advice???

Thanks Andy. Batteries are new and response is strong (at the dock). I'll try to post some pictures soon.
Try this- turn on the transmitter and boat. Hold the rudder firmly with one hand and turn the TX wheel with the other. If you can hold the rudder still you don't have anywhere near enough torque out of your servo. On the bigger boats especially gas you want at least 200oz of torque. I also recommend the larger 1/4 scale size servos for the strength of the bigger gearsets they have and 6 volt hi milliamp battery packs to get the job done.

I know this is an old thread but after having the same problem last weekend on a scale boat, I figured I'd throw out what we ended up finding. We found that both the rudder servo AND the receiver had problems. I swapped out the servo and the power to the rudder was greatly increased, but not enough to run with. After swapping out the receiver, I was able to run all weekend without further issues
