Seems most people voted for a dedicated server but it was only a total of 42 votes. I'm going to stick to the current VPS if we don't get enough votes. It's not doing real bad honestly. We could do more with a dedicated though.

PLEASE vote in this poll to help me decide.

count me in for what ever it takes. thanks for a great job Tom.

Tom, My controls tells me I average .68 posts a day, that's 248.2 a year divided by $50.00 = .2014504 cents a pop. Money well spent. To quote the "Post King", guys Grow a pair and sign up. :) :) :)

Just in 2.5 hrs and using average numbers (half way in between) for the not exact amounts, I have 900 with 26 votes. This looks like a doable deal. Everyone chime in so we can get this done.

Someone wake me when it's time to Race! This milling pattern has put me to sleep. Seriously, someone PM me when he gets around to pulling the trigger. This is too difficult for me to watch anymore.

Tom,

Good idea to see where this ends up.

I'm curious myself, but to a lot of us, it's whatever it takes. :)

We could maybe do a raffle if there aren't enough $$$ pledged. That seemed to work well not that long ago......

Since I don't have a PayPal account, I'd rather mail you a check. I know where to find your address at so I can make it out in your name. $25.00 is no sweat this week. Get it before I blow it at a swap meet this weekend! :)

It has been about 10 hours and I estimate the donations at $1180. With the dedicated server, future years will not require the setup fee. So that will make the future years a little easier. But like llema said.... we will have to do this every year if we go for it. I just dont want to put everyone in debt over this. Currious to see we have 42 votes so far. Same as the other poll. It's either way too early or we have 42 members that want to donate. Ill look at it this evening and make a decision.

I encourage everyone to donate, but don't over do it..... I want to keep our future secure! If we go dedicated going back to vps will really stink! (yes it is a fully managed server)

Thanks,

Tom

Yea,

But this place also cost me a fortune too.

I've purchased items here I'd never buy if I didn't see them. :D

But they were good deals! :)

Tom, just open the paypal account. Leave it open for 3-4 days, and then we will determine what way to go. Seriously, let the numbers speak for themselves, high or low. For that matter, leave it open. Dont close it as soon as we hit the "mark". We have to go through this every year, it would be nice to be half way to our costs before the renewal time comes around. I know I am not the only who feels this way, many have voiced this before. It will allow those who may not be able to afford it in the one day sprint as before, but a month from now may want to donate a few bucks.

Seriously though, like James said, let's crack open that Paypal link & let it roll, I think it will take care of itself no problem! B)

Might as well now.

67 Votes and figuring on the low side,($25, not $50) we're already at $1710.

So, open those Pay-Pal gates and let the donations begin.

Let the cash speak for itself, we need to do it anyway.

3-4 Days would be GREAT, leaving it open can also work.
