I was on the coast (Coast of MS) this weekend, and did a little hunting. I was initially going for Deer, but a pack of hogs showed up. No worries there, I love pork! Got 2 in as many shots. The boar I shot first, the Sow came an hour later after they returned!

How does that saying go...."when life gives you pigs...you make sausage"?

Lots of sausage in my future.....

Try smoking a ham or shoulder. My grandson killed one a few weeks ago and we did 2 shoulders and a ham, it was delicious. I also made fajitas with the backstrap and tenderloin.

Excellent, thank you. Yes, lots of fajitas and tacos are on the menu already!

My brother has a really good recipe for one of the hams. Maybe we'll do that for Thanksgiving or Christmas. We had some of his Elk steaks last Christmas, and it was out of this world...

Keep 'em coming, and thanks.
