Looking for info on Radio Systems. Who is using what? I know the new stuff is rock solid. What is the easiest to program? most intuitive?

Is it better/cost effective to buy a new radio or outfit the current unit with a 2.4GHz module and the matching receiver(s)?

If I go with Futaba equipt, which is better FHSS or the FASST?

Spektrum ?

Hitec?

Chris,

Fasst system works very well 3PM radio have four of them.

Nice and simple,

Cris,

I have FASST module in 3PK and fasst receivers works great. I don't think you can buy module from Futaba anymore.

I vote Futaba.

Futaba 4PK and 603FS RXs. FASST system has been flawless for me.

I have the FASST 7C that can have up to 10 models if you are willing to drive with the stick on the 4 channel system.

Talked to a Hitec Rep at the Weak Signals Show in Toledo. He stated they had a new surface radio coming out in a couple weeks but refused any details. I've run Futaba and Hitec. I like both. I don't mind a stick radio, have run one for many years. The 3EGX was one of my favorites.... One of the members on here suggested a 6J which would suffice all my needs with one radio. Planes helis and the boats, that really has my attention.

I like my favoriter for Airtronics Super EXZES with upgrade 2.4 FHSS-2 and Futaba T3VCS with 2.4 FASST both 2 sticks radio

Futaba 4PL has worked flawless for me and it has Telemetry which is a big plus. It's nice to be able to know the condition of the Rx pack at any time.

Never had a problem with any radio I've run. Started out with Futaba, went to JR, now back to Futaba. Take care of your equipment and it will take care of you. Running the Futaba 4PK with 603fs Rx's right now and it's rock solid. Flying planes with the Futaba 6J and it's every bit as good as any I've used. See a few guys at the flying field with HobbyKing $5.00 receivers and losing signal right and left. They always blame it on cell towers but I'm not so sure. Lol

I heard New 2014 Airtronics EXZES-"Z" with RX471 FHSS-3 or optional new RX471W " waterproof" " No Worry

Allen has it, Airtronics new water proof systems, M12 with water proof receivers and servos, no need for sealed radio boxes anymore, life just get easyer all the time!!

I ran a Futaba 9CAP with a PCM module last season, bought a 4PLS FHSS for this season. The telemetry is a nice feature that can save a boat
