What weight should I be looking at for the Whiplash 20? Is there an optimum weight?

Also, I am using a Nova Rossi and the carb throttle arm is almost sitting on top of the radio box. How have you set up the throttle linkage??

As for as weight.My 20 whip with a cmb green head is 4 pound 14 oz . I would say if you are between 4 3/4 to 5 1/4 you will be good to go.

The weight that dave spoke about is right.. the cowl that comes with the boat is as hvy as a boat anchor.. i wish i could get a plastic one from brian but havn't heard from him.

as for the servo.. i had that issue.. here is how to fix it.

I have a bad habit of adding way too much glue and brackets etc.

Steve you gave me some good ideas for the throttle. Is that a CMB header on your motor?

no that is a nova header.. the cmb header made to sweep to wide.. you can mod that by heating it up and bending it as i have done on nova headers as well..

Im building a whiplash 21 and the cowl i got was real lite and nice.To bad its not for me.Its thin was able to cut it down with a pair of scissors.

Yeah I was told that cowl was built for FE boats. I am not sure if it came right from Brian or not but it was very light weight.

I just got my cowl today and it weighs 7oz uncut.
