Hi Guys

i'm building a 6s Eagle SG 45 rigger with a single Ski at the rear, the mottor i am going to use is the leopard 4082, 1600kv 3500w motor, i'm hoping you guys can help me with the prop selection. My aim for this rigger is to do 6 lap circuit racing to race against the nitro at my club, and also SAWS racing in the UK.

Cheers

Steve

Your prop will likely be somewhere between 50 and 60 mm diam and between a 1.4 and 1.6 pitch ratio. Test props. ABC cleavers seem to be taking on.

I ran a 1500 Kv motor in my 6S Sport Hydro but found it too much for oval racing so I dropped down to a 1250 Kv motor. The props which did the best were a pitched-up x452 and an ABC1914. A rigger could probably use more prop that I did, perhaps an x457 or 2014, but watch for high amp draw with that Leopard motor. A good ESC will be required for reliability. As fas as SAW props go, you can use more prop. I'd try a 2016 to start but again, watch for high amps. Only make one or two passes and bring the boat in.

Many nitro riggers do not perform that well as FEs without modification. Most successful conversions include increasing the sponson's aoa.

.

Octura 1450 cup from 3,3 to 3,7 , X 448 repitched or ABC H 6, H7, 52X70 are good ones to start testing. on a rigger 6S . For saw 1950, 2047, and 2050 Gill
