Hi guys; it's been a lot of years since I've built any balsa models, and those were airplanes. Does anyone have an opinion on which boat I should build first the Hot Shot IV or the Hot shot Sprint? I'm sure which ever one I do, I'll be back often to elicit more help along the way. For those that have built either of these, did you upgrade them in any way? Not that they would need them, right, Jerry Dunlap?

have you looked at www.grimracer.com . the villian would be a great place to start

ive built the sprint (wood) a few years ago, easy to build (i messed it up anyway) make sure you seal the hull very well inside and out... the instructions were easy to follow, nice hull, heavy, you wanna compete a little? get ya a villian s1 from mike z it builds even easier, awesome hull to run from mod to stock motors.... hes got a new mod motor hull out now too the nemesis! good luck mike

I guess I should have explained better, I already have these kits, and though I don't intend to race competively, I do plan to run them. Any suggestions will and have been appreciated.

Thanks, Fred37

Hey Fred, Post this questioon in the outboard forum and you will get alot more response to your questions. I know alot of guys have built theses boats and have talked about a few changes that they need. Jerry will also surely chime in...
