Here is a new sport40 project i have been working on, been testing it this spring and raced it last week. I will have it out agian at the ST Louis race next weekend.

The boat is kind of like the Super Sport 21 boat i make, the lines are a bit different and there is a lot more room for the radio and fuel tank. This one has the Stealth style cowl, I plan to make one with the Turbine style cowl too.

I like it! Any more pics?

How does it perform? When will this become available?

I have enjoyed your SS45 for several years now. So, I know this will be a winner too.

 this is an offshoot of the sport21 hydro i have that is working real well, but you are correct it has the open engine well with a floor mount for the motor.

Dont claim to be like a Mutt other that it runs on the water. ;)

I will post some other pictures soon as the gallery is running

Look's real good Phil..If it performs as good as it look's it going to be a winner..Like the room for working on the boats equiptment too.

Well, I like it alot Phil,,,and it keeps callin' my name. I haven't run in Sport 40 over here in 4 years,, seemed kinda senseless against the Mutt. Have recently "dusted off" a "SS45" that was Lohring Millers old boat, powered by a Picco "Blackhead" that's running perdy strong but could use a replacement for next

Christmas :D How well do you think your new boat will run with the Mutt??

Jerry, Phil will get to find out firsthand if his boat will run with a Mutt. I have a new Mutt this year and Phil and I race in the same area. we will have many chance to compare them.

Phil & Brian

Sounds like we are going to have a good shootout this weekend in sport 40.

Hope you are going to make it Brian. It also sounds like there are going to be a few sport 20,s also. Looking forward to seeing you guys again. KENNY

Hey Phill it looks good if you sell it to anyone that plans on racing it in NAMBA they need to get the entire pipe covered though.

You always have to ruin everything Eric

And Brian, That would be great to hear your evaluation on the two boat's,,we know there are other factors other than just boats, but I would trust your measured judgement,,as long as we have Phil's too :p

That's a really nice designed boat Phil, how much is one gonna cost and when do they hit the market. My SS45 is starting to show signs of one battle too many after 5 seasons of racing, flipping, and the occassional bouy hit. I like that cowl as well but,if you make a cowl for the NAMBA guys to use make it like the UL boats with the small air scoop or like the Grand National hydros type of cowling.

Yes I know that. the pipe can be laid down in the hull and exit the transom.

The back of the Stealth cowl is cut out on that one, it doesnt come cut out.

I have a turbine cowl for it too just have to get it done.

Hey Jerry would you rather have a round nose? I bought a used 40 roundnose from a guy in MI and am rigging it up to todays standards. Hope it runs ok.

Dont even know if they make them any more.

Hey Phil, I have a "shovel" for Sport 20,, don't really want one for Sport 40,

seem's like they would "lift" pretty bad with the "rocket" accelleration of the

40's; just my opinion  I was just lookin' for a possible replacement

of my existing Sporty in the winter.

Heh Phil it looks great with some nice features. Just a question on floatation where do you put it?

100209[/snapback]

Tony the flotation is foam blocks installed in the hull, I am debating on making an opening in the engine well to add flotation like my other boat.

Might be a better deal allowing the hull to air out cause no matter what you do some water gets into the hull, I have a couple of drain holes on the transom now..
