I recently bought a PPB 90 rigger with a CMB evo 90 engine with a OS9b carb (don't know exactly what model/year) with a turbo plug head. Which plugs do you suggest for it, I'm running 35% nitro?

Tnx,

I ran/am running McCoy MC-9's with the CMB 90's, gold, first purple like you have and the EVO2, single or twin plug heads. The MC-9 is a standard plug not turbo. I don't use turbos.

Tnx John, do you know if it possible to get a head for standard plugs for this engine?

Hi Paul I knew your CMB 90 Evo 2/2 in 2000 to 2003 year depend on weather Cool = CMB turbo # C-6C( Average filament) or Hot CMB turbo # C-7C ( Cold filament) most popular C-6C Good luck! ;)

I ran the Cone loc plugs very successfully for years. #7's was the number on 50-60% fuel. There are other plugs like the rossi. The last time I ran those heads. The rossi c7tc was the most user friendly.

Yes you can get them. Contact Stu Barr, US distributor of CMB, Jerry Crowther of Seaducer Boats, Steve Wood in Iowa, Mike Hallam in Canada or Dave Marles in Britain. They all should have them available.

Thanks for the reply, i'll contact them. Been working on the setup, what is a good length for the pipe? Currently it's set pretty long about 12,5" running a H50 prop.

A friend of mine made a head button for me for standard plugs will try that soon. Currently the engine had got a square drive, want to change it to a normal collet system. I like the aeromarine collets, is this the right one for this engine? Link

Thanks,
