What carbs are you using

Now that the .12 boats are taking off what carbs are most of you guys using. I have one of the new NR motors and am just looking for other options other than stock. Thanks for any info. Ryon Shaw

ryon, i sent my nova 3 port to geraghty and he redid the stock carb. new barrel with all the rest of his magic. sorry i can't tell you how it runs, cause the boat is'nt ready yet. he also did a black(k& B) carb for another boater up here.

The new stock NR.12 rotary carb,"re-worked", is probably the best carb I have ever had on the flow bench.......A re-worked K&B "Black" works very well also but the new NR.12 carb ,re-worked,hands down is far better.

David Hall has tested the new reworked NR.12 carb and he was able to turn the needle in a full turn from the K&B black setting.That will give you some idea of the fuel draw in that reworked NR.12 carb.Both carbs were using the same O.S. in-line needle.The new barrel bore is .280" with a new custom spraybar.

David said the reworked NR.12 carb is very linear to throttle position with instant smooth throttle response.
