As of June 1st I wasn't on the water as I had no power plant for my boat. Then very quickly a lot of people came together to make my season super fun.
I'd like to thank the following people.
Joe Wiebelhaus for selling me one of his old, (but just like new) Picco 45's So clean inside you could eat off the piston.< not that I would.
Tim Kish for giving me a carb to bolt on to the Picco.
Terry Keeley for keeping up the maintenance on my rigger and teaching me a ton along the way. (there's always something new to learn)
Randy Rapedius for being a patient race coach. He guided me through some of the most fun heats I have ever had. (toe to toe with Mr. Mapstone)
Also Andrew Lane, another patient race coach. Always willing to help.
Thank you one and all. That was just a 1/2 season. I can't imagine a full season of racing. I may burst!
In the end I think all of the generous modelers just wanted to see me get on the water instead of becoming frustrated and quitting.
Model boating, the most fun you can have with your pants on !
