I bought this Webra carb many years ago for a K&B 21. The carb worked very well and has an unusual design in that it does not have a spray bar. There are two small ball bearings in the inside wall of the venturi that atomize the fuel. It has no low speed needle but it works so well that it does not need one. Problem is the barrel is sealed with internal O-ring and the nitro in the fuel tend to swell the O-ring making the barrel really stiff to rotate. Anyone has any experience on this?

Hi Bill,

I would like to know how to disassemble the carb. I would like to inspect the internal O-ring or replace it. The barrel has a disc that stops it from coming off the carb body. The disc appeared to have been pressed. I can not undo it.

I also want to know if anyone who has used this carb has this O-ring swelling problem....or how to avoid it.

Thanks,

Kez

O-rings will not swell from contact with fuel. Certain cleaning agents will swell them.

Take the small black srews (one is idle and the other retains the barrel) out and the barrel will remove.
