Hey Charley, CMB 21 questions for you... Is CMB still offering the Valvola as well as the RS? Is there an RPM range or power difference between 'em?

Also, since I've never had a look at CMB sleeves, do they have lots of 'fiddley' work done on the ports like a Nova or Rossi?

I'm curious, 'cause my Rossi .21 shares sleeve type with the Maranello car engine, with a total of 12 holes punched in it for breathing and oiling. I'm not saying that more holes is better; just wondering how CMB does it.

Yes, both are offered. I was told the following regarding differences between the RS and Valvola and the Fiddly work..lol..

As far as power/rpm range goes, the RS motor “should”

produce more rpm's due to less internal “drag” since it is not spinning a drum rotor

in addition to the crankshaft. But, in reality, the difference on a well setup boat

should be unnoticeable.

RS motor has more “fiddley” work on the sleeve, but not as much asseen on the Nova’s.

I have a valvola 21 with header for $390 shipped.
