They don't have to counter rotate.... I know it helps with the roll and steering, but I've seen several high powered nitro twin mono's and they ALL were the same rotation.. or you could gear them together and use the 20hp outboard
prop...

Have you looked around on JRCBD.com ?
lots of large scale gas boat information to be had over there,,,
iirc.. I saw a twin cylinder gas motor in the for sale section yesterday if I recall...

Modified Zenoah 32 should push it pretty good. I think BH Hanson mods and sells the 32.
