Mike (PHM) was making them at one time. That's who I purchased all of mine from.Unfortunatly he hasen't made any in a while.

He's considering doing them again from what I've read in his posts.

To my knowledge,he's the only one.

Good luck

Is there a reason in particular that you want carbon? The reason I ask is that really light weight carbon is hard to come by. The common weight is 5.7oz/yd. I can make a cowl out of 2 plies of 1.38 oz glass (2.75oz/yd) with a foam core that is lighter than 5.7oz/yd CF. I can also use 1.7oz/yd Kevlar (total 3.4oz/yd) for a really tough cowl. I know that Terry has some 3oz/yd fabric, but the last time I priced the 3oz carbon, it was $95/yd. Not worth it in my opinion. I prefer the kevlar with carbon tow stiffeners.

Guess I'll have to splash a few molds to get back into this.

By the way ww29, if you would,

please add your name in the signature part in my controls.

Most do it around here so we know who we're talkin to.

It seems to keep things a little more comfortable around here. :D

Mike, how do i get the warping out of the CF cowl you sent me? It bows from front to back, center high.

(sorry for the post hijack)

Sent you a pm with the info you were looking for. :)

Thanks Mike

Steve.

take a GOOD FLAT pc of material.. grab a bunch of clamps.. a hair dyr and lay the cowl down on the flat material..

heat the cowl up evenly all over the base.. then clamp it down to your flat material.. let it cool.. be careful not to OVERHEAT one area.. take your time and you can get them pretty close.
